Hey all.
I'm having a more difficult time than I originally anticipated getting the first couple chapters done for a novel I'm writing - that is, introducing characters in an interesting and natural way, providing some nice backstory in a way that makes sense.
It's like I got it all in my head how it should play out but I'm having trouble getting those thoughts to properly correlate down on the page.
Anyone have any tips/advice?

One thing that i found that helped my character development was involving them in roleplay stuff

^Agreed Also, for writers block, I have found that if you just sit down and start writing the ideas will come. Some people will say, "Well, I don't know what to write." But that doesn't matter, just start writing something, even if you think it seems bad, and sometimes once you get a few paragraphs down the road you will see an improvement in overall quality.
