The Blank Sign of Disillusion
Fading from view and insight
are many queues and questions
of the hues of wrong and right.
Despair and melancholy disperse
amid love and light and hope, yet
they too fade into a neutral state.
The blank sign of disillusion
marks the path going nowhere
and fears and pain are numb in the airs.
Omens and forsight cannot predict
of what is beyond this sign;
desolation fills in the void for this point on.
Nothing enters the area knowing
of where they are going
nor returns from whence they had come.
Solidarity will be sucked in
and many will never begin to know
of the blank sign of disillusion.
Shattered dreams will go unnoticed
as broken lives blend right into its foundation
marking the path to unseen oblivion.
